Day 13: Eldar Guardian

Around the time the last Eldar codex came out I bartered with a friend for some Eldar bits for a test mini. I ended up mocking up a color scheme that I liked, but newver actually painted it, until Sunday.

I always really liked the Uthwe color scheme, but I also really like green, so this was what I came up with. Black under armor, green plates, with bone accents. To me it looks pretty cohesive, and different enough from any existing Craftworlds.

  1. Can you please tell me what paints you used on this unit?

    1. Sure, this is honestly a really simple progression. Here are the basic layers. I mixed a lot more than this, but this is a simplified version.

      Green:
Dark Angels Green --->Snot Green --->Snot Green with Skull White ---> Thraka Green wash

      Black:
Chaos Black --->Codex Grey ---> Fortress Grey ---> Nuln Oil wash

      Bone:
Snakebite Leather ---> Bleached Bone ---> Bleached Bone with Skull White

      Purple:
Liche Purple ---> Lich Purple with Skull White

      Gold:
Warplock Bronze ---> Brazen Brass ---> Shining Gold ---> Burnished Gold

      Hope this helps.
